Treasurer Report:
Presented by Pete for Chris R, Club is solvent. But we actually made a loss of £700 year to date, due to Match fees and Court costs rising over 20%
We had a large loss on match fees, as not all monies were fully paid. we were charged for cancelled courts, and received no fees for Monday evening matches, Shuttles are also included in the costs.
If anyone would like further details please contact Chris Rudd on his return from holiday end of the month.
Winter fees are to be set at £70 for adults and Juniors are £47, this to be confirmed by Chris.
Although fees have gone up it will still give excellent value for money at approx £2:50 per Monday evening.
Visitors Fees to increase to £4 per evening for adults and £3 for Juniors
Mach fees will also rise to £4 and Monday matches will now cost £2. (as per July meeting)
Match Secretary Reports: Geoff to comment:
Only Mens 1 received a trophy this past season for winning the Division 2, Well done guys.
Unfortunately the Ladies 1 team had to drop out as there was a clerical error which was found out too late and there matches were all void.
Team Selection:
This coming season we will have the same number of teams playing in the Cradley league,
comments from Geoff are as follows:
Any Other Business:
Last but not Least.
Colin has / will resigned from the committee later this year after "X" amount of years as a club member, Colin, probably next to Pat is one of the original members that formed the Crystal Badminton Club, been here a long time Colin, Hey badminton has changed from those days of wooden rackets with the tensioning frames to stop them from twisting. lol
He is going to be missed greatly by the club not only for his Badminton skills but as a person that has taken this club to where it is today,
Colin and Chris will be moving to Wales to rest his tired knees. cant keep up with the pace of the new generation of younger players that has joined the club recently.
Let me on behalf of the Club wish you and Chris all the very best, for the future and you will always be welcome to come and play at the Crystal when ever you up this neck of the woods. Yeah I know you ain't gone yet, But I am sure that everyone that has played with or against you will want to say something similar. So hurry up.. lol
Once you settle in down in Wales, find a club, we will challenge your new team to a few matches... oh and a curry after.
But on a good note Colin is to be replaced by a much younger, fitter better looking and talented member of the club.
So I would like to Welcome Jayesh Patel to the Crystal Badminton Committee.
I would also like to thank everyone else who turned up from a really good night out.
Meeting closed: The AGM closed at 9.17pm
Pete the all round multi tasker...
The Chair and Minute secretary...(only cos Mel planned her holiday so she wouldn't have to type this up)
